I own a LEATHER EXECUTIVE CHAIR which I bought BRAND NEW. Over the years it has developed a NASTY, STINKY ODOR probably from seating in it too long and farting...LOL.
PLEASE!!!! Does anyone know of a GOOD %26amp; HIGHLY EFFECTIVELY DEODORIZER I can use to GET RID OF THAT NASTY SMELL??? I have tried all kinds of products BUT so far NOTHING HAS WORKED. I would be very grateful for the help.
How do I DEODORIZE MY LEATHER SEAT?
Try cleaning it with fabric softener and spraying the leather chair with febreze.
Reply:Try cleaning it with saddle soap. I had a cat, which was, I thought, house trained. However, she took delight in peeing on one of my leather chairs. This left a puddle. To my embarrassment, one evening a guest sat in the puddle! I had to provide her with a clean skirt and under pants. I cleaned the chair with saddle soap and sprayed it with a cat-deterrent spray. The cat wasn%26#039;t too happy, but she never peed on the chair again.

How do I get the smoke odor out of my furniture?
I just got a love seat and sofa from someone who lived next dooor to a house that had a fire. The furniture still smells of the smoke from the fire but is overall nice furniture. What is the best way to get the smoke odor out?
Febreeze deodorizer failed - so any other ideas are welcomed.
Please don%26#039;t guess! I%26#039;m hoping to find someone who knows from experience! Thank you!
How do I get the smoke odor out of my furniture?
You should try Oust, my boyfriend uses that for his car and it works very well. You could also try setting it outside on a sunny day and let the fresh air help to air it out.
Reply:Nope - it will smell that way for 10+ yrs.
Had a house fire almost 2 yrs ago and I had to trash everything that has a porous surface.
Reply:Febreez but as a ex smoker nothing really works , you probably need to throw it away and get new furniture. smoke smell will always be there in your carpet, in the walls, your clothes and furniture and on your breath. Also as a REALTOR I would advise you if you cure this problem do not smoke in your house and do not allow smoking in the house, if you are renting you can lose your security deposit and a cure extra charges and if you own you will never sell your house with that smell in it.
Reply:look up smoke damage companies on google.....neighbors had a fire and the insurance company sent in some people to clean their stuff. I visited their place after they finished, it really worked great....couldn%26#039;t smell a thing
Reply:unless its leather you cant. just throw it away and save up and get a leather sofa
Reply:I had the same problem. A factory burnt down next door and I had extensive smoke damage. Had to hire professionals to take care of cleaning my entire house, everything in it and car after they melted all the chemical foam the firemen sprayed on it to make sure it didn%26#039;t go up with the factory. Luckily home insurance took care of all the costs.

Bad Smell In Car?
I got this nasty smell in my 1999 Dodge Intrepid, and i thought it was from bringing the dogs in the car. It was like a week after the dogs were in the car. So i put a deodorizer in the car, and the car didn%26#039;t smell anymore...until now, about 1 month later it came back, and i never had the dogs in the car... It is really a nasty smell, what is it, and what can i do about it. I don%26#039;t know what its coming from, but I know its not the dogs.
Bad Smell In Car?
Does it smell sweet? Maybe a heater core leak inside the car. Check to see if the passenger side carpet under the dash is wet.
Reply:Remove the body from the trunk.
sorry..I couldn%26#039;t resist. I really don%26#039;t know, maybe a good shampooing, a clean air filter and a deodorizer.
Reply:Let the engine get fully warm, and then turn the heater on from the dash vents. If the smell comes out strong, and is a sickly sweet type smell, it may be a heater core leak.
Reply:try a air conditioner evaporator deodorizer . mildew can grow on the evap core causing a foul Oder. just spay it into the fresh air duct when the ac is running.
Reply:Dodges stink but Fords stink more.
Use Fabreeze.
Reply:You can use an ozonator machine to eliminate interior smells but if it only smells when you put on the heat or AC then you will need to buy a can of AC deodorizer from any auto parts store. Follow instructions and ask for help as needed.
Also check for moisture between rug and metal of body if all else fails.
Or maybe your neighbor threw an old fish in there like in Grumpy Old Men.
Reply:Why don%26#039;t you try to put orange peel in your car ? I used before and it%26#039;s work too. You decide how smell strong to put how many ornage peels. After the smell gone then get some car perfume inside.
Reply:if it has a rotten egg smell it might be your battery overcharging check your alternator for the correct voltage Other smells could be coming from the,, catalytic converter ,, wet floor pads under the carpet from a leaky door seal or in the trunk (lift the carpet to check) also check under the dash passenger side for wet floor mats this could come from a leaky heater core Good luck
Reply:get a new car and a beter one on uncle henreys and make shure their isn%26#039;t a body in the trunk

Is it dangerous for a cat to sleep on top of, or next to an electric water heater?
Our cat used to do this in our old apartment, and it was covered with clumps of kitty fur, so in our new one, I just moved the litter to a new carpeted closet. Problem: He has a problem knocking his water bowl over, the carpet in the closet had some dried kitty litter on it, I%26#039;m sorry but wet cat litter and carpet smell ... ick. Not great. The other day he overshot is litter box, I cleaned the urine up just fine. The wet cat litter smell persists.
So would it be dangerous to move him into the closet with the electric heater? I don%26#039;t believe the outside gets hot, I%26#039;m just worried that perhaps the cat hair would cause a problem.
Also ... I%26#039;ve used vinegar, baking soda, carpet shampoo and pet deodorizer ... any other tips on what the heck to do with that closet?
Is it dangerous for a cat to sleep on top of, or next to an electric water heater?
haha, actually i used to keep the litterbox in the closet with the waterheater at my old apartment.
perfectly fine. the cats ignore the waterheater completely. they didn%26#039;t mess with it and it didn%26#039;t mess with them.
As for the carpet... if the urine soaked through the carpet to the padding underneath there is really nothing you can do except to cut up and replace that bit of carpet in there. It%26#039;s that padding that you can%26#039;t get to with the cleaners to get rid of the smell.

How to remove cigarette smell from a CD walkman?
Just acquired a used CD walkman, and it smells like cigarette smoke inside and out. How do I remove this smell?
I know about removing the smell from books (zip lock bag with carpet deodorizer or baking soda), etc. and I know one of the best solutions is to put it in the freezer.
However, I don%26#039;t want to ruin the device since it%26#039;s electronic - I%26#039;m afraid putting in the freezer isn%26#039;t a good idea, and sprinkling it with powder is even worse.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
How to remove cigarette smell from a CD walkman?
You could wipe it down with rubbing alcohol
Reply:I think you should get an mp3 player. I know that%26#039;s not what you%26#039;ve asked for, but they are so much better and they aren%26#039;t very expensive anymore. . .
but if you still want to keep the CD player, I think the freezer thing would be fine.
Reply:clorox wipes wouldn%26#039;t be a bad idear or sparay it with lysol not directly though you can also clean it with vinegar that will take the smell away.

The Avon lady?
An Avon lady was alone in an elevator when suddenly she had to fart. She promptly reached into her bag and sprayed the air with some an Avon Pine-Scented deodorizer. Two floors later, a gentleman got on the elevator. He began to sniff, and the Avon lady asked, %26quot;Do you smell something?%26quot;
%26quot;Well, yes I do,%26quot; he replied.
%26quot;What does it smell like?%26quot;
The bemused gentleman answered, %26quot;I%26#039;m not sure, but it kinda smells like someone pooped in a pine tree
The Avon lady?
We used to play this game when I was younger where we%26#039;d ring peoples doorbells and as we saw them approaching we%26#039;d shout %26quot;Avon calling%26quot; through the letterbox and run off.
Oh how childish I once was.

Why does he pee?
When my four-month-old lab mix puppy sees either myself or one of my family members, he pees. Well, I suppose that %26quot;pee%26quot; is the wrong word... more he dribbles... alot... I mean, less than a pee puddle but more than just a few drops... but it%26#039;s not that he%26#039;s meaning to, because when he finally realizes that he dribbled, he runs to the door to be let outside so that he can releive himself. Following that, he is praised, but the fact that he dribbles all over the carpets an tiled floors is becoming a bit of a pain. We always clean it up after with paper towel and then spray deodorizer over top so I%26#039;m at a loss for what might be going on. Any suggestions?
thanks!
Spazzy%26#039;s Mom :)
Why does he pee?
he is just excited. just dont run in the room all excited just be calm and wen he .........dribbles...... try to keep hem from getting excited
Reply:It is probably submissive peeing. My puppy does it too. When you first see you pup ignore it and let it out.
Reply:Submissive urination is common in pups that are very submissive to people and some also do it to dogs. Read the links for tips but obed training to build confidence helps and also low key greetings. When someone comes home they ignore the dog totally if even saying Hi Duke makes the pee flow. Take the dog out and then no excited greeting, kneel on the floor and calmly greet the dog. Any show of anger at the pee inside just makes the problem worse. One dog, a Cocker Spaniel, they are very prone to submissive urination all their lives, was so bad the owners had to kneel facing away from the dog to attach the leash. It finally grew out of it but does require patience and lots of paper towels..
Reply:It%26#039;s called excitable pee. And let me guess, when you walk through the door and see the puppy there is a big to-do over getting home. The puppy is excited, you all are hello puppy wuppy and the poor guy gets so excited he pees.
When you come home, simply say hi to the puppy and ignore him. Don%26#039;t bend over and give him lots of love. Say hi, let%26#039;s go, and immediately take him outside. Let him pee, bring him back inside, and greet him - but at a MUCH lower level than you have been. If you get excited, he gets excited, and when he gets excited he pees.
Lower the excitement level and you lower the liklihood of peeing. And if you continue allowing the peeing, it is not something that he will grow out of. Even older dogs have excitable pee. So if you keep this level of excitement, you are going to have bigger and bigger messes to clean up! And it will become harder and harder to %26quot;break%26quot;.
Reply:I had the same problem with my black lab pup. I toned down my greetings for a few months and made sure not to punish him for it, which would make it worse. Eventually it went away.

Why does my turtle tank stink after 1 week from cleaning it?
I use a filter thingy, and i turn it on occassionally. I mean the water turns green and it stinks like crazy. i think it%26#039;s getting me sick. What the hell is wrong with this bastard. i have a 4-5 year old red eared slider. i mean i use that turtle feces deodorizer or whatever too. What%26#039;s wrong with it.
Why does my turtle tank stink after 1 week from cleaning it?
The turtle is perfectly normal. They are horribly messy animals, and its just something us turtle owners have to deal with. I have a couple of suggestions (in addition to leaving the filter on at all times).
-If you can, get a filter that is rated for higher than the number of gallons you have in the tank. It will be more effective that way.
-Also, when you feed the turtle, feed him in a smaller, separate tank. This will eliminate a lot of the food wastes, and if he uses the bathroom in there as well, even better, because you can dump it out and its not sitting in the main tank.
-Get some %26quot;scum-sucker%26quot; fish (actually, I think they%26#039;re called algaea eaters). They help a little bit with cleaning up the food waste.
-Also, get a device at a pet store for cleaning tanks. They are small tubes that suction out the poop and all, so you only have to do partial water changes once a week or so!
Good luck, and don%26#039;t let the stinky turtle get you down :)
Reply:leave the filter on at all times Report It
Reply:I have yet to figure out how to get it to work without sucking and causing it to siphon...although it is supposed to by working magic with the tube. If you figure out how to do that, let me know! Good luck. Report It
Reply:Nothing is wrong with your turtle. Turtles are horribly dirty. Leave your filter on at all times. Even then you still need to do water changes fairly offen just because turtles are so dirty and the food they eat is dirty too.
Reply:The hose that they are talking about, you don%26#039;t have to and probably don%26#039;t want to suck then end. What you do is hold the bigger part under water, then start submerging the rest of the hose in the water. Make sure all of the hose is in the water and place your thumb over the small end, lift above water level, and it should create a suction to pull out the water.
Second, turtles are just messy creatures. Try getting the biggest filter you can get, or get more then one. Get a power head and that will kick up all the stuff so the filter can pick it up.
Reply:it%26#039;s not the turtle! leave the filter on at all times and if that doesn%26#039;t work, try changing the sponge thing .
Reply:leave the filter on. ur filter might be broke
Reply:Like the person below said, %26quot;there is nothing wrong with your turtle!%26quot; And yes deff. keep your filter on at all times! Turtles are kind of dirty animals but its mainly the waste and everything that it produces. It sits in the water for about a week and stuff so your probably smelling dirty water! But keep the filter on at all times should take care of most the problem and just wipe down the tank a little bit each day and that should help too =]

How Do You Prevent A Cat From Pooing In The Bathtub?
I have 2 cats, one aged 11 and one aged approximately 1 3/4. We adopted the younger one last fall as company for our older cat after our other beloved cat passed away due to liver failure. The younger cat poos in the bathtub, despite the fact that I scoop both cats%26#039; litter boxes twice a day, put in pet litter deodorizer, and wash out boxes often. Each cat uses her own litter box. My vet suggested last fall that we put a garbage bag or tin foil in the bathtub as cats don%26#039;t like the fact that they are slippery. No such luck - she (she%26#039;s spayed too) pulled it back and pooed in the corner. After 2 weeks in our new apt., she started pooing. I%26#039;ve now closed the bathroom door. My mum used to rub poo in the noses of our pets if they ever pooed where they were not to. I finally tried that, though I felt guilty doing so, and she knows she%26#039;s not supposed to poo there. She tries anyway, and it%26#039;s a nuisance keeping the bathroom door closed - with no window, it gets humid. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
How Do You Prevent A Cat From Pooing In The Bathtub?
Cats can be very finicky about where they relieve themselves.
Some cats will not poo where they pee. Also some cats will not Poo in a box that another cat has used.
her are some site with helpful suggestions for you.

Personally I like the last link best (The Humane Society) it has answers for many other questions.
Reply:Rubbing her nose in it will not solve whatever emotional issues she has which is why she is doing the pooing in the bath.
I would recommend you check out energy therapy. EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a drug free therapy that really helps humans and animals resolve emotional issues.
Perhaps your cat associates the bath with a safe place to go... perhaps there is something in the new apartment that she is unsettled about.
Cats like to be clean and there is obviously some important to her issue that is bothering her.
You can find out more info from these web sites below.
Reply:You can buy pet repellant at WalMart (Indoor No) or get it online. Your pet won%26#039;t go to spots sprayed with it. It is also effective to keep them off couches etc. You can also buy it online. At least it would be an inexpensive try. I am giving you a website, but there are lots of places that sell it.
Reply:Cats is weird critters. If she has her own litterbox maybe she doesn%26#039;t like the litter. Try a new brand, maybe.
Reply:try sewing her bum up
Reply:You can take her to the vet%26#039;s to rule out a medical problem. But it sounds like it is probably a behavioral issue. There isn%26#039;t alot to be done besides limiting access to the room. The only things I can think of is to try using Feliway spray. It is a pheromone spray that is usually used when cats have issues with inappropriate urination. It may work with your situation so why not give it a try. The other thing is getting a litter maid box. Occasionally you will run across a high maintenance cat that will only do their thing if the box is perfectly spotless so an automated box may help with that. If it doesn%26#039;t work you can always return it.
Reply:well maybe the water is too hot it should be luke warm maybe just to0 old they have pet wipes as well that clean your pet I have them for my dog when im on the road, they work well.

The only thing I can think of to do is.....leave a few inches of water in the tub. Cats dont like water.
Give that a try and let me know if it works.
Also if you catch her doing someting wrong....a squirt bottle always works !!!!!!

Each cat uese her own litter box. Thanks!

they sell some balls mots that prevents the cat from going in side the bathroom
Reply:Close the bathroom door and keep it closed. You might install one of those sliding door bathtub enclosures, instead of using a shower curtain :)
Reply:the cat may be offended by something you use in. or on. the litterbox. if that don%26#039;t work just get the cat by itself and reenforce usage of the litterbox.....you could also have urine residue on the bathroom floor. etc. that is causing the cat to do its business there. hope this helps.......good luck........
Reply:You%26#039;re having to clean the tub before you bath now anyway, so try leaving about a half of an inch of water in the tub. She%26#039;ll jump over in the tub and jump out just about as fast.Sure you%26#039;ll have to deal with wet paw tracks a couple of times, but 9 out of 10,she won%26#039;t like the water. Any tips on how to have a rat or cage not stink?
I already clean the cage contstantly, use rat body spray, and use that internal deodorizer that you put in the water and the cage and the rat doesn%26#039;t stink. But any other tips to prevent a rat from smelling bad?
Any tips on how to have a rat or cage not stink?
There is a product called Nature%26#039;s Miracle that will help get rid of the urine smell from the cage, you can use it on the rat or in his water but I promise you it will make the cage smell clean.
Below is a link where you can buy it.
Reply:rats can be litter box trained (my hammie is, and I had a bunny that was once too) maybe that will help you clean the cage less? good luck (you can find small animal litter for pets like rats at Petco or Petsmart along with the proper litter pan...just put some of the rats droppings in the pan on top of the litter and put the pan in the bottom of the cage and he should figure out that%26#039;s his place...good luck!
Reply:Maybe it could either be what type of cage your using. If it is small please buy a new cage. Small cages tend to keep smells in. Or maybe it could be what kind of litter your using. Well hope to find out!
Reply:i dont personally have a rat, i have a rabbit but they have essentially the same %26quot;odor%26quot; problem, i have found that the type of bedding has alot to do with it...i have had pretty good luck with a chlorophyll blend but the best product is the type that looks like crumbled up cardboard, sorry for the life of me i cant remember what it is called, it is quite a bit more expensive than the typical cedar or pine shavings but it seems to control the odor much better plus its a little safer on your pet because shavings tend to have dust in them which can cause breathing problems, you might want to check out your options at your local pet store, when i find out the name of that bedding i will let you know!!! good luck!!!
Reply:Male rats have a natural odor due to an oily secretion that comes from their skin. There isn%26#039;t much you can do about that except get him fixed and/or bath him often.
To reduce odors in the cage itself, isolate where they go to the bathroom. I have my rats potty trained. The process is simple. Get a litter tray, they sell some at pet shops or buy an inexpensive tupperware container about 1.5-2 inches deep and long enough for your rat to stand in completely. Clean the cage and keep a couple of their droppings. Place the droppings in the new litter tray. After a couple of cage cleanings you will find that the rats are only going in the litter tray. Do not use bedding in other areas of the cage as this will cause them to want to go to the bathroom there too. Get them a ratty hammock and if you want to give them something soft to lay on where you had bedding, use a towel or old t-shirt. These can be washed and reused easily saving you time and money and rats don%26#039;t typically go on it. It will absorb urine so it does have to be washed weekly.
Don%26#039;t!!! use cedar, pine or other wood shavings, or kitty litter. All of these contain harmful aromatic oils and/or other scents and chemicals that can KILL rats. They have very sensitive respiratory systems. I recommend using Kaytee brand Small Animal Cage Litter. It is heavy, so they can%26#039;t tip their potty dish, and it absorbs odor. Another litter we found that worked well was dirt! Common outdoor variety dirt. Only problem with dirt is your gets dirty and you may bring in bugs that you don%26#039;t want on your rats but it does a remarkable job at absorbing odors.
Another possible reason for the smell would be that the cage itself is absorbing the odors. I used to have my rats in a partial wooden cage and the smell soaked right in to the wood.
In my links I%26#039;ve put a link to the litter i recommended and a link from RMCA that discusses odor reduction. Also included is a link for a very informative book on rats. I highly recommend getting the rat health care booklet as it has answered many of my questions when an issue arose.
Reply:Have your rat neutered. Seriously.
Reply:well, they sell bedding that absorbs odor, and i had mice, so the bedding works
Reply:next time get females, move the cage away from radiators that will help open windows and dont leave in direct sunlight.
Reply:Wash them. They won%26#039;t die, contrary to what people will tell you, but be sure not to use dish soap. Also, get a nice-scented ratsafe bedding.
Reply:Don%26#039;t use cedar or pine shavings they can harm your rat. use aspen bedding. Never use kitty litter either as they will eat it and it will cause severe dehydration. you could try to litter train the rat. that way you only have them using one spot in the cage as a potty instead of the whole thing.
Reply:someone said use cedar, i want to disagree with that, while it may help with smell, you should use wood shavings. they are bad for the respiratory system. brand that use paper or pellets are better. As far as keeping it from stinking, using a wire cage instead of something like a glass aquarium is better because it let the bedding %26quot;breath%26quot; and ammonia won%26#039;t build up as fast. other than that, it sounds like you are doing a great job!
Reply:Totally agree pine %26amp; cedar are toxic to rats. I%26#039;ve rescued many rats on this which I couldn%26#039;t believe, but eventually they will start getting sick and can die prematurely. Ask me how I know :( I have found a paper lab bedding is best alpha dri to me is the best out there. Rats are going to smell a little no matter what. If you are cleaning the cages way too much the smell will get worse and they will mark it even more, because they want their smell in there. Don%26#039;t use any chemicals or fresheners that is bad for their lungs. I use distilled vinegar and it works great.
Reply:DO NOT use cedar or kitty litter. for the person who just answered that they seriously dont know a thing about rats let alone have one. Cedar is very bad for rats as it causes respatory problems.
Reply:Possibly the type of bedding you%26#039;re using could be the problem. I would suggest pine shavings and possibly adding baking soda to the area where the rat(s) urinate and poop the most.
It has been a long time since I had rats but currently have a ferret and rabbits. They tend to want to %26quot;go%26quot; in the same place. If that is the same for rats, then I would concentrate on that area and scoop it out several times a day, replacing it with fresh bedding and baking soda.
Good luck.

You have a few options to make your pets more bearable:
1: have a more open cage (avoid glass aquariums: they trap the ammonia and the pet has to live in the noxious environment, harming their lungs and eyes!) If you put your nose directly over their cage and smell ammonia, imagine how it is INSIDE the cage... So get an open wire cage. If you can%26#039;t, keep the lid off so there%26#039;s pleny of ventilation (that is, if the rats can%26#039;t get out).
2: paper bedding is best, but you can lay down a layer of kitty litter on the bottom of the cage, my vet reccommended it.
3: rats are swimmers and fishers. (had to be for those ship journeys), so hopefully, your rat may enjoy a little swim in the sink or bath. You can use mild hand soap on them (and rinse very well) to help them stay nice smelling.
Reply:Getting the rat neutered would reduce the smell but it is incredibly expensive because it is hard for the veterinarian to anesthetize such a small animal. I wouldn%26#039;t recommend the cedar shavings because they contain oils that could poison and actually kill your rat. Buying him a really good quality food can help to reduce his body odor as well as a good bedding. Carefresh ultra seems to keep a decent smell for at least a week, and if you are already cleaning often it might help. I have 2 males and usually I can get away with about a week before I notice any smell. There are always baths but they hate them.

How do I get the smell out of a new 100% Acrylic blanket?
I bought this Very large fuzzy blanket and I have washed it twice now and it just has this irritating smell (it%26#039;s NOT a dirty, or soiled smell). I looked at the label to make sure I was washing it correctly, but it%26#039;s still has a strange smell. Is there any kind of deodorizer or cleaning soap or solution for washing 100% acrylic fabric??Please help
How do I get the smell out of a new 100% Acrylic blanket?
That%26#039;s highly unusual. It could still be loaded with formaldahyde. Don%26#039;t use the blanket.
Can you tell me what brand the blanket is and where it was manufactured? I may be able to get you an accurate answer.
Reply:Thanks for your vote. Return that blanket! Report It
Reply:Wash it with vinegar. It will also make the blanket feel softer and it WON%26#039;t smell like vinegar when it is finished.
Reply:This time when you wash it, When you get to the rinse cycle add 2 cups of white vinegar, that should do it. Vinegar is an odor eater. The smell could be from the chemicals they use ,to keep it new looking.

I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. Is there a hotel that uses mild, nonfragranced cleaning products?
Every time I leave a hotel, everything I own smells like a car deodorizer.

Some motels--higher end ones, if you call ahead of time can use special cleaning products in the rooms and on the bedding.

Why don't more people use cloth diapers?
I use cloth diapers with a diapering service in my town. They pick up the dirty diapers and drop off cleans ones once a week... provide me with a hamper/liner/deodorizer,etc... it costs the same as conventional disposable diapers but is SO MUCH BETTER for baby and the environment. Just curious why more people don%26#039;t opt to use cloth?
Why don%26#039;t more people use cloth diapers?
While most communities DO offer diaper service, most people aren%26#039;t aware of it.
People have this idea in their heads of what cloth diapers are: Big, wet, bulky things held in place with pins and covered with plastic pants that leave ugly marks on the baby%26#039;s legs.
Even when I was using diaper service diapers (instead of some of the fabulous all-in-ones now available), I never used pins. When my son %26amp; I had diarhea, I used Snappis to prevent leakage around the leg, but otherwise we did fine with a comfortable cloth waterproof cover.
When I had a sitter, and showed him how to change the diapers, he was a little aprehensive... but then commented, %26quot;Hey, that%26#039;s as easy as disposables!%26quot;
Also, folks mostly think cloth leaks more that disposables. They see the %26quot;blow-out poops%26quot; they get with Huggies or Pampers, and think it must be worse with cloth, not realizing that it %26quot;sticks%26quot; to the cloth, and never shoots up the back (or out the side of the legs).
Reply:Most areas don%26#039;t offer that kind of service for mothers. Many people don%26#039;t have the time or patience to wash the diapers every day.
Reply:the price, they%26#039;re harder to use, they don%26#039;t absorb asmuch, they give your baby a rash, and there is leakage at night time,
plus you gotta save the dirty ones for a Week , If i saved them in the house they%26#039;d putrify the house no matter how tight the container,
and outside the animals would get to it,
PS
I have a dog, and she would try to eat the poop right out of em.
Reply:a) we don%26#039;t have a service like that in our area
b) our daughter is in daycare and they don%26#039;t do cloth diapers
I wish it were an option for us but we%26#039;re not in the position to do it.
Reply:Because disposable ones are more sanitary.
Reply:I think you%26#039;ve gotten your answer already. Because people have preconceived notions about cloth diapers and they are too close minded to reconsider. They believe the myths and old wives tales that they%26#039;ve heard and they don%26#039;t realize that using cloth diapers today isn%26#039;t like it was when their mothers or grandmothers diapered their babies. Which is pretty close minded as well. There have been so many advancements in every facet of living that it is silly to think that cloth diapers haven%26#039;t changed! Today%26#039;s cloth diapers don%26#039;t have to be pinned (some cloth diapers don%26#039;t even have to be covered!), rinsed or soaked. And they don%26#039;t stink as much as disposables do!
Also, many have been brainwashed into believing that cloth diapers have the same environmental impact as disposables do, which is not even remotely close to being true, but it helps them sleep better at night.
%26quot;I think it’s interesting that disposable diaper lovers (including the companies that make them) can make quite a fuss about the water used to wash cloth diapers. Nobody seems to get up in arms about the amount of water used to wash and sanitize bottles if parents feed their babies formula – or pumped breastmilk for that matter. In the event that a baby’s parents find the time for a 5 minute shower each day, they will each use over 27,000 gallons of water to keep themselves clean for that 2 1/2 year period of diapering their baby – that’s almost 60,000 gallons for two adults. But 20,000 gallons to wash their baby’s diapers is supposed to be an environmental problem?
If disposable diaper users really think it’s a better choice to pollute landfills with long-lasting, bacteria-laden trash, rather than use water to wash and flush our children’s waste, then shouldn’t all of us adults quit taking showers, wear disposable diapers – and probably disposable clothing altogether - and quit flushing our waste down the toilet? That hardly makes sense. We have wise, environmentally safe and inexpensive ways to treat our sewage water (remember, it only costs about $17.00 for the TOTAL water of laundering one child’s diapers for 2 1/2 years!). Further, water is a naturally renewing resource – remember the “water cycle” diagrams we all came to know and love in our 5th grade science courses?%26quot;

Reply:Because it%26#039;s a personal choice and whilst you want to use them, others don%26#039;t.
Reply:Despite thoughts about it being better for the environment it is not. It does same effects as disposables. The soaps, water, electricity, and waste have same effects. I am not knocking cloth but it is not truly any better. We are having our 4th child and i have researched it well many times.
Reply:I guess they don%26#039;t want to clean them, but I had cloth diapers as a young%26#039;n
Reply:I use them but I wash my own. I love them and they are so much better for our planet too.
Reply:less time you have to do cleaning the, why clean when u can throw away.
Reply:I have read that environmentally it%26#039;s a wash. Disposable diapers take up landfill space and are chlorinated. Cloth ones use energy to wash and leave behind soap residue (gray water) in the lakes and oceans.
I wanted to use cloth diapers but my daycare center wouldn%26#039;t allow it (most won%26#039;t).
Reply:Because they%26#039;re lazy.
Reply:They are harder to clean because with regular diapers you can just throw it out and with clothe diapers you have to clean and wash them.

Even when I was using diaper service diapers (instead of some of the fabulous all-in-ones now available), I never used pins. When my son %26amp; I had diarhea, I used Snappis to prevent leakage around the leg, but otherwise we did fine with a comfortable cloth waterproof cover.
When I had a sitter, and showed him how to change the diapers, he was a little aprehensive... but then commented, %26quot;Hey, that%26#039;s as easy as disposables!%26quot;
If disposable diaper users really think it’s a better choice to pollute landfills with long-lasting, bacteria-laden trash, rather than use water to wash and flush our children’s waste, then shouldn’t all of us adults quit taking showers, wear disposable diapers – and probably disposable clothing altogether - and quit flushing our waste down the toilet? That hardly makes sense. We have wise, environmentally safe and inexpensive ways to treat our sewage water (remember, it only costs about $17.00 for the TOTAL water of laundering one child’s diapers for 2 1/2 years!). Further, water is a naturally renewing resource – remember the “water cycle” diagrams we all came to know and love in our 5th grade science courses?%26quot;

How do you get rid of a very strong moth ball odor from clothing?
I manage4 a group home and recently had a new client move in. All of the clothes and linens he brought with reak of mothballs, to the point that the whole house smells of it andI am suffering headaches fromthe smell. We%26#039;ve tried washing everything a couple of times; using fabric deodorizer, putting baking soda in the client%26#039;s closet, but nothing is working for long. Hel[p!!

How can I make my laundry hamper smell better? I just opened it and nearly vomited from the smell?
My laundry hamper smells absolutely wretched. All that is in there is about a week%26#039;s worth of laundry, but it smells like the dumpster behind Long John Silver%26#039;s. I know baking soda is supposed to fight odors, but I dont know where to put it. I dont want to do my laundry more often, so I need to know a good deodorizer.

Smelly litter box.?
I have tried so many different kinds of cat litter and none of them eliminate odor, no matter what the package says. The first time one of my cats (I have 2) urinates in the clean litter there is a distinct and unpleasant odor. I check the box many times a day and scoop when necessary or stir the litter around to redistribute it.
I constantly spray the laundry room where the litter box is and use a Plug-In air freshener. I also use powdered litter deodorizer and stir that into the litter frequently. All is to no avail.
I use dry cat food only and the little packages of kitty treats...no wet canned food at all.
I bought some Febreze pet odor eliminator that says it neutralizes petodors in fabrics. Do you think it would be possible to spray it directly on the litter and stir it in?
My husband says I have an overly sensitive nose, but I say %26quot;NO%26quot;. The litter just smells bad all the time. I change it once a week and because I have 2 cats I use an extra large box.
Smelly litter box.?
Why don%26#039;t you try getting a litter box with a lid? I had one with my male cats and it did wonders!
Please DO NOT stir any cleaners/disinfectants into the litter box!! Cats get litter in their paws and they may ingest those chemicals when they clean themselves.
Reply:I HATE the smell of cat litter and urine and so I use Feline Pine and have for four years now and SWEAR by it! I think it is the best litter on the market and will never use anything else! Check it out at felinepine.com and Ithey also have a specific litter box to go with it (not necessary but helpful) I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the lack of %26quot;cat smell%26quot;
Addition - you can buy this at most any pet store, however in my experience, PetsMart has always been the least expensive
Reply:I think you have an overly sensitive nose. I have met others like this. They always ask %26quot;what%26#039;s that smell?%26quot; when I smell nothing at all.
Cats make smells, that%26#039;s just the way it is. I have 4. Just be diligent with cleanliness and deal with slight odor. Maybe you can install a vent fan that runs all the time in the laundry room.
Reply:I use Tidy Cat formula for multiple cats with instant deodorizer, which is already in the product. It is a clumping type litter. I sift/scoop it daily. Cats originate from desert animals and do not drink much water. Therefore, the urine odor is very concentrated.
Reply:I have two cats also, an i use tidy cats scoop for multiple cats, dont ever get that automatic litter box, it is not worth its money, because the poo gets stuck in the broom-like thing. Also next time you go to the vets ask about the foul smelling urine.
Reply:hmm I know what you mean, I had the same problem, but I managed to get hold of a special litter tray spray that seems to take all the smells away. I think its a make called %26#039;Bob Martin%26#039; thats the only thing I know of, sorry.
Reply:Try sprinkling baking soda over the top, it helps- it will help nutralize the odor, that is usually the active ingredient in those powders but not in 100% concentration.

Reply:I recommend World%26#039;s Best Cat Litter. Mine does not smell and works great! Also, when you%26#039;re using normal clumping litters, they have a chemical in them that makes the litter clump. Now, we all know it sticks to their paws somewhat when they come out, so they end up licking it off. The BAD problem with this is that the chemical (since moisture in a cat) then expands (ie clumping) in their stomach. This has the potential of SIGNIFICANTLY harming your cat!!! I really recommend if you need clumping litter to use World%26#039;s Best Cat Litter. It%26#039;s made of corn, so it%26#039;s harmless to them as well as biodegradeable/flushable. I%26#039;ve used it since I got my cat a year ago, and she%26#039;s never deliberately shunned it. Plus, it%26#039;s dust free! Hope that helps :)
Reply:Sometimes smelly litter boxes can be due to the food you%26#039;re feeding. Many cats cannot digest corn, yet corn%26#039;s the main or a primary ingredient in many foods (and most of the foods you find in the grocery store). Read the label on the food you%26#039;re currently feeding, and if corn is one of the first three ingredients, try switching to a food that doesn%26#039;t contain corn (but you%26#039;ll need to go to the pet store to get one).
Your cats are neutered, aren%26#039;t they? Unnneutered males have a really smelly urine, and no litter, food, or deodorizer will cover that up.

Baking soda is a good natural way of reducing smells mixed into the cat litter, but I seriously would NOT use any perfumed sprays ( pump or plug in near your cats) and especially Febreze as it has an active ingredient in it.

Can you imagine that if it acts in the way it does by eating at the smell then what does it do to your lungs when inhaled. Some smell minimizing products are known to cause cancers in cats and dogs. I have a freind who owned 2 dogs and 4 cats. She used shake and vac on her carpets regularly to keep the smell down and after 4 years both her dogs and 2 of her cats died of nasal and lung cancer. She suspected that it might be the shake and vac and stopped using it 15 years ago. None of her animals have died of cancer since 2 are 13 years old and still in good health.
Please be careful and think of what products you use about your home as cats and dogs are far more sensitive to chemicals than we are.
All the very best and hope you find a solution to your problem soon.

I Couldnt find it on the website but here is the Exact same litter box I have but on the Patsmart Website (http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.js...
Another Thing that has Worked Great for us is getting Cat Food that Says Inddor Formula. We Get Meow Mix - Indoor Formula (http://www.petco.com/product/14676/Meow-... The point in buying Indoor formula is it has the right Flavors on it that makes the Cats Pee and Poop not Smell as bad and it makes the cats more Calm.
I Hope This Help and Good Luck!!!

Im going out of my mind! How do I get my cat to use his litter box instead of my floor?
I didnt really want the cat in the first place. Im allergic and just annoyed overall with them, but my husband loves animals. First this cat (well kitten, he is about 9 months old) was scratching our daughter, so we got him declawed. Then we have to babysit my moms cat (bringing the total to 2) because she cant have him where she lives. We had him out in the beginning but then he peed behind our overstuffed chair from being nervous. So he is now away in a room where he wont get nervous. But OUR cat is now going to the bathroom where the other cat peed. Im at my wits end! We got rid of the chair, then steam cleaned the carpet (even used bleach inside the thing), and when that didnt work we then used the carpet deodorizer left it there for a couple hours and then vaccummed it up. Nope he is still going on the floor. Im pregnant, I cant be picking up the cat **** off the floor, so I have to cover it with a plastic bag and wait for hubby to get home from work to pick it up.
Im going out of my mind! How do I get my cat to use his litter box instead of my floor?
You can get this cleaner called Nature%26#039;s Miracle at Petsmart and I am sure other pet stores that is a miracle worker. It safely removes all evidence of odors that other cleaners are only masking - even bleach. Your kitty%26#039;s nose is very sensitive and it picking up some part of an aroma of previous elimination. This cleaner is completely safe to use around pets and children and is meant for exactly this problem. Ever since it was recommended to me we haven%26#039;t had any problems. You can spray the area and let it soak in and then spray it again is necessary and wipe it up and you should be good. You might consider spraying a much larger surrounding area with it as well just to make sure you get it all. Hope this helps!
*EDIT* Also, if the cat keeps peeing outside of the box then take him to the vet to rule out a UTI... if this is the case then it%26#039;s painful for him to go and he associates the litterbox with pain but once better he would start using it again.
Reply:You know, declawing in so inhumane to cats. I%26#039;d suggest you talk to your husband again and you guys try to agree to get rid of the cats if you really don%26#039;t like them and are allergic, surely you have some say in this and if you%26#039;re allergic there is a strong possibility your child could be also. If he loves animals this much I can%26#039;t see why he would agree to declawing, that%26#039;s just cruel.
Reply:Two different litter boxs and keep the cats seperated.
But to be honest and I dont usually even say this much but I think you need to get rid of it...get a hamster...lol.
I had to get two different litter boxes when i watched a friends cat. It worked. had to keep them sepreated to crated them.
When and if you get a new ltter box make sure to introduse it and force the cat to scratch it. It works for me but your cat sounds real stuborn.
Reply:Stick your cat%26#039;s nose in the poop. Then with a pooper scooper drop the remains into the litter box. And place your cat in the litter box as well.
If the cat poops on the floor again, repeat the procedure. Soon the cat will learn that pooping on the floor means a dirty nose for the cat (and hours of self-licking and cleaning).
Reply:Declawing cats is not inhumane; don%26#039;t listen to them!
Your veterinarian should have a spray that you can use, to eliminate the odor of your mom%26#039;s cat%26#039;s urine... That is why your cat is peeing in the same area; trying to leave their own mark... Believe me, it happened to us, and, we tried all the store cleaners, too, and nothing worked! The stuff the vet has, really helps.
Reply:go to your pet shop and they will give you a spray that will take away the smell it can be expensive but cheaper than a new carpet also im told cats dont like citrus so try something citrus on the patch
Reply:the way i taught my cat how to use the litter was by putting her on the litter box and letting her stay there at times so she%26#039;d do her thing.. u have to put her on it so she can get used to it. Also whenever she does it on the floor instead , hold her and make her smell her stools, then gently with ur finger tap her nose (she%26#039;ll know that she did something wrong)
usually cats that know how to use the litter box, keep smelling after doing their thing to check if they should cover it more lol
the gentle tap thing was actually given by the vet :)
beside that i have to tell you -since you%26#039;re pregnant- make sure the cat is vaccinated so you can be on the safe side especially when you%26#039;re exposed to the stools (which in case of non vaccinated cats may have parasites -most imp. to note here is Toxoplasma gondii and in some situations Toxocara cati).
Reply:i had kittens or cats and they went the litter box by them self i didnt have to train them but the way to u have to stick the face right in front of the pee or poop and tap them on the nose not the nose not to hard and put there poop in the litter box and keep it there and ur cat will smell it and he may goin there and pee and poop
Reply:MANY cats who are declawed will develop litter box issues because of it. Walking on clay litter is like walking on spikes with their mutilated feet -- the declawing takes half the toes off, reducing the foot size and how they can put their weight on it. You may have manufactured your own problem. Having the %26#039;accident%26#039; happen there has made it easier to switch him away from the box.
Change to a fine grain litter like a scoopable one to reduce the pain he may have stepping into the box. It won%26#039;t feel like he%26#039;s walking on boulders then.
Block the area or cover it with plastic, as you said, to stop him from using that patch. I don%26#039;t think bleach entirely covers the smell of urine, you need a special pet formuated shampoo (there%26#039;s one called Dogtergent, I%26#039;m not sure what others are on the market). If possible move a piece of solid furniture over the area he%26#039;s using, to block off all access to that part of the rug.
I%26#039;m hoping that the other cat, the one you put into seclusion, is getting some attention from people. It%26#039;s not fair to the cat to be in solitary confignment, it promotes behavioral problems.
Reply:my cats did that DO NOT USE BLEACH it makes the smell worse use vinegar and when the cat pees on the floor put it%26#039;s nose in the pee spank it and put it in the liter box keep doing that it should get the hint or use seperate liter boxes your cat might be territorial and it could also be telling you it has a uti or bladder infection take it to the vet and get it checked out
Reply:Put newspapers over the spots that he%26#039;s prone to potty, and all on the floor around his litter box so that the box is the only option he has. I did this with one of my cats and it worked. They won%26#039;t poo on paper.
Also, taking an animals claws out is unnatural and most often leads to severe behavioral problems. This could be a major factor in why he is not using his litterbox.

Guinea Pigs?
Hi, everyone. My younger brother just bought two male guinea pigs about a month ago. Very cute, but are in the habit of being pretty messy. He cleans the cage with fresh litter every few days as to keep the smell down, but one of the two seems to smell like feces and urine, as it is in the habit of wallowing in its waste after defecating. Any suggestions? Is there any type of deodorizer for guinea pig cages that is safe for the animal? Can they be bathed with a spray bottle? Please help, 10 pts. for best.
Guinea Pigs?
What kind of bedding do you use? Some are really bad at absorbing the smells.
The long term fix is to litter train them. This can be pretty easy if you stick to it. Here are some instructions http://en.allexperts.com/q/Guinea-Pigs-1...
DO not use deoderizer of any kind! Chemicals lik these can be very harmful for the guinea pigs!!! You do need to clean it off of him directly, however bathing isn%26#039;t ideal. Unless he%26#039;s really trusting of you, he will wiggle so much that hecould end up drowning. It%26#039;s safer to take a damp cloth and wipe him down, NO SOAP. Be sure to towel dry him off well, or he%26#039;ll get sick.
Reply:Um. Try bathing both of them. Put a inch of warm water in the tub. Then use baby shampoo. Instead of litter use sand. Because then the urine will become lumps and then you have to scoop it out every 2 days. I live in IL so it gets cold in the winter so in the winter i use bedding. But, then come summer i use sand. Hope this helps!!!
Reply:i have long haired guinea pigs, and they get really smelly! We use carefresh litter and that helps them to smell better. You can get guinea pig shampoo at pet stores, and put them in a little bit of warm water. They really hate getting wet though! Also if they have long fur it helps to clip it a little!
Reply:You can wash them off. A warm washcloth would probably be best unless you%26#039;d like to put them in the bathtub with luke warm water about an inch high or so. Mild cat shampoo can be used, but use very little. For my cages, I have special soft wood shavings that have baking soda or something like that to keep it smelling good. Good luck!

Do you buy Avon products?
An Avon lady was alone in an elevator when suddenly she had to fart. She promptly reached into her bag and sprayed the air with some an Avon Pine-Scented deodorizer. Two floors later, a gentleman got on the elevator. He began to sniff, and the Avon lady asked, %26quot;Do you smell something?%26quot;
%26quot;Well, yes I do.%26quot; he replied.
%26quot;What does it smell like?%26quot;

This happened to our family van, so my dad checked it out and found out that something from th engine to the a/c was broken as was causing that awfull smell. he changed it and it didnt smell anymore.
Reply:When you use the %26quot;defrost%26quot;, the A/C compressor is engaged, so water vapor builds up in the system, just like when you run A/C in the summer.
If the smell is sort of like a mildew smell, it%26#039;s that water residue. Not much you can do about it.
Reply:It could be that the previuos owner was a smoker.
There could be expired food somewhere left in the car.
It could be rot from water getting inside your car.
Just buy the little scent tree%26#039;s or keep the windows open when it is warm out while you are driving.
Reply:I own a shop, and believe it or not, but I have ran into this before. You are not going to like what I%26#039;m going to tell you, but here goes. You have bought you a vehicle that has been in a flood. Many vehicles have been salvaged from flood zones, cleaned up, and sold on the market. This is illegal for them to do without telling the buyer it has been in a flood, but they still do this all the time. They buy these vehicles dirt cheap, clean them up, and sell them. Since this water seeps into every nook %26amp; cranny of the vehicle, it leaves an awful smell inside them. It may take years for the smell to ever go away, and sometimes it never does. I%26#039;ll bet, if you do research on your car, you will find out some alarming news about your purchase.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!
Reply:Check under the seats. Maybe one of the dogs left you a surprise or perhaps they peed on the carpet.
Reply:I once had this problem several years ago. Check around your doors for any leaking water. Water will sometimes enter the vehicle from various areas and cause the interior to become foul with smell. That would be the first place that I would check. Best wishes!

Backing Soda??
Dose any one know if Arm %26amp; Hammer Cat Litter Deodorizer, is ok for a ferret. I%26#039;m going on vacation and my grandmother is going to take care of her, I%26#039;ve got the water and food thing handled but I think it%26#039;s roud to ask her to clean the litter box. I%26#039;m only going to be gone a week but I still don%26#039;t wont her to smell up my grandmother%26#039;s house. Please let me know . Thank%26#039;s
Backing Soda??
As long as it doesn%26#039;t clump, it should be okay.
%26quot;The litter you choose should be absorbent, but not clumping. We use Yesterday%26#039;s News litter. Think: low dust. Most ferrets don%26#039;t much care what they poop on, so texture is usually not an issue (though some ferrets are finicky).
Why not clumping litter? Ferrets have been known to %26quot;snorkel%26quot; through their litter boxes (when they%26#039;re clean). Clumping litter can get in their eyes, nose, and mouth, dry up, and clump there! Also, ferrets usually scoot after they go to the bathroom -- this is a normal %26quot;marking%26quot; type behavior, not a sign of illness. If the ferret scoots in the clumping litter, the litter can stick to his anal area. This is especially true in kits, who often have some loose stools when changing from the pet store food to the food you choose to feed. Perhaps most important, ferrets are low to the ground and are more likely to pick up some of the clumping litter in their fur. When they clean themselves, they may swallow it. Knowing that ferrets are prone to intestinal blockage, it%26#039;s best to avoid any potential hazards, like clumping litter.%26quot; http://www.ferretnews.com/issues/ferret-...
Baking soda itself is not harmful to ferrets, as Marshall%26#039;s makes a dental gel for ferrets with baking soda in it.
%26quot;Marshall’s Dental Gel is pH balanced and formulated with baking soda and aloe vera. It gently and effectively cleans, polishes, deodorizes and soothes ferrets’ teeth and gums, and the fresh mint flavor creates cleaner-smelling breath%26quot;

What's the best way to get rid of puppy pee odor in carpet?
I had a small indoor puppy and he wouldn%26#039;t stop peeing on my carpet. It%26#039;s been a few months since he has been allowed in that area....but I don%26#039;t know what the best way to get rid of the odor would be. I have tried the sprays and the deodorizer powder....
What%26#039;s the best way to get rid of puppy pee odor in carpet?
Besides the pet products for carpets; I remember using baking soda on the carpet..just lightly, leaving it on for awhile .then vacuum it up. Baking soda does take away the odor, I think. Good luck! Congrats on the puppy. ;)
Reply:If you can find the dried up spots, spray them with a mix of vinegar(2-3 tbsp), a squirt of dish soap and water. For a new puppy and housebreaking, soak up as much pee as you can with paper towels then saturate with above mixture and again soak up with towels. this assists in housebreaking because puppies (and older dogs) go back to old spots to pee.
Reply:It is almost impossible because the smell goes all the way to the pad under the carpet and into the foundation concrete or wood. If you can clean the carpet and pull it up so you can replace the pad ot at least pour on some bleach to pad and underflooring.
Reply:ODOBAN....get it at Sams wholesale. It deodorizes, stain remover, mildistat, laundry refresher, etc. I would mix it with something that works on an enzyme action like natures miracle or the four paws stain and odor remover to make sure he doesn%26#039;t use the same area.
Reply:oust......fabreeze some kind of carpet cleaner
Reply:firstly clean it up right away!!!! then just go to any pet store they have a pet urine deoderizor ... usually its in liquid spray form, just follow directions on bottle
Reply:Rent a carpet shampoo machine and buy some of the odor removing liquid that is available. If it were cat pee, the only solution is buy a new carpet but dog pee is manageable.
Reply:They make special cleaners especially for this. You can find them at Petco or any pet store. you can even get them through your vet.
Reply:Nature%26#039;s Miracle, or some other %26quot;enzyme%26quot; product.
Reply:Good old vinegar and water :)

Did anyone see Evel Dick pass gas on BB8 tonight?
(Big Brother 8)
What a LAUGH. In a middle of a group meeting, Dick gets up and walks into the next room (bathroom?), in full view of the background, passes loud gas, twice, with a few full-body exaggerated motions. Jameka face was full of distraught. In the meantime, this %26quot;meeting%26quot; is still going on, Then Dick sprays some sort of deodorizer and returns to the main room.
Did anyone see Evel Dick pass gas on BB8 tonight?
I think i just answered this but...That was hilarious. I was rolling on the floor. I thought he was going to go the bathroom and then he farted like five times. Jameka was like totally offended. And then he waved it to defuse it, sprayed deodorizer, and closed the door. I was dying. =)
Reply:I wasn%26#039;t really suprised by it. Someone in the house (I can%26#039;t remember who) had already made a comment about his bodily functions. I bet the other house guests were very thankful that he exited the room to take care of the problem, I know I would have been had I been in the room.
Reply:I blame it on the tacos they keep feeding him and the ice cream they are feeding everyone. They are so full of gas they could explode at any moment. It was just his time to go. I was looking for the courtesy wipe but I guess it was more stanky than messy. But jameka did her fair share of tooting later on that night and most of the girls are passing gas out on the lawn during aerobics and laughing like crazy about it. At least he was in his own HOH room and backed up into the restroom. He knew they would air that so to speak.
Reply:OMG it was so funny!!!!

Big Brother, a fart on TV.?
Watching the show as much as I have he is not alone but that one was caught so well on camera that they had to put it on the air.
He has what he calls the %26quot;courtesy wipe%26quot; and perhaps after that one he should have closed the door and door something about that puppy.
The air freshioner was just a little too little too late.
But remember, with slop on the menu, this will always be a gassy show.
Personally, if I were him I might have taken a bow at that point.
In the meanwhile, all of the men are under scrutiny about their hand washing after they go to the toilet. He heard about that this evening from Danielle.

Employee Sues City Over Co-Worker's Perfume, Seeks Ban on Scents. Is this a good idea?
A Detroit city employee who says she can%26#039;t work because a co-worker%26#039;s perfume is too strong is suing the city.
Susan McBride%26#039;s lawsuit, filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Detroit, says the work environment is in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
%26quot;This employee not only wore a strong scent, but also plugged in a scented room deodorizer,%26quot; the lawsuit states. %26quot;Ms. McBride was overcome by the smell almost instantly, causing her to go home sick.%26quot;
McBride wants a ban on such scents at work — and unspecified damages.

Employee Sues City Over Co-Worker%26#039;s Perfume, Seeks Ban on Scents. Is this a good idea?
Many workplaces have rules against wearing perfume or cologne. If she asked the lady not to wear perfume, and the lady refused, and the boss did nothing about it, she has a case.
Reply:makes no scents to me
Reply:It would seem to be a problem between the workers and not cause for a lawsuit against the city. How is she going to prove it was only the scent that caused her to be sick? If she is that sensitive or allergic it could have been anything in her life. Just another sue happy person.
Reply:No, that%26#039;s obviously not a good idea. Nor is it a disability.
Reply:Should be thrown out of court, it has no business being there. The manager should tell the person to tone down the perfume and no air freshener or she%26#039;ll be fired. Unless of course Ms. McBride%26#039;s body odor is the reason for the various scents, then counter sue.
Reply:if that is the case, than society is welcoming isolation and outcasts. couldn%26#039;t the lady to just tone it down? speaking is really not that hard.
Reply:Honestly, I%26#039;m surprised this hasn%26#039;t happened before.
Reply:Being a person with severe allergies I do know how awful it can be. Especially when the best they can offer is re-circulated air. If it were up to me.....I%26#039;d make %26quot;Beautiful%26quot; cologne illegal. It%26#039;s no less offensive and physically dangerous than second hand smoke for many people.
Personally.....I%26#039;d rather people just be more considerate of others than resorting to suing and banning everything they don%26#039;t like.

Can I Febreze my ferret?
I have deodorizer, but the smell of that isn%26#039;t very pleasant. Febreze is MUCH better!
Can I Febreze my ferret?
You can give him a bath. There are special shampoos at the pet store for ferrets. Skip the Febreeze.
Reply:Please don%26#039;t use febreeze on any animal. Use a little baking soda in water. Bath your ferret that way.
Good luck.
Reply:no. just no. don%26#039;t.
Reply:No! It will get in his lungs and kill him. He might even lick it off and be poisoned. Please don%26#039;t. I have ferrets and they have a musky smell that you just deal with. I don%26#039;t even like the deodorizer they have out for ferrets. One thing that will help is to give him food that doesn%26#039;t contain fish like Marshall farms. It will cause them to have a fishy smell. I give my ferrets Total Ferret or Ultimate 8. They are made with chicken. Just read the ingredients of the food and make sure the first ingredients are chicken. I swear it will help.
Reply:I don%26#039;t know if it%26#039;s safe for ferrets or not. Consider having his scent gland removed so that he smells nice naturally.
Reply:They do stink don%26#039;t they.
I think that pet stores should make a safe Febreze for animal odors, but until then, you probably should just stick with the deodorizer, or if it is safe to give them baths then that would be a good idea.
Reply:If you want to kill it, otherwise, no.
Reply:NO! That%26#039;s very bad for the ferret. It might poisen it. There are very good smelling deodorizers specially made for pets that do not harm them. Go to a pet store and ask a worker where you can find them. Just, please, don%26#039;t Febreze your pet.
Reply:Febreze has recently been granted the ASPCA seal of approval as a pet-related product that meets the society%26#039;s standards of quality, general safety and usefulness. Rumors of cats and dogs being harmed by the product are unfounded. The product is safe for use around all companion animals expect for birds. The product should not, however, be used directly on any animal.
Reply:Sorryu you can%26#039;t febreze your ferret, ferrets have a natural bad odor so it won%26#039;t go away and the febreze could poison the ferret.I would%26#039;nt do that if I were you.
Reply:No but they sell stuff for that at PETCO and PET DEPOT
Reply:No!!! I don%26#039;t recommend it!!
Reply:Gosh no- that is all chemicals and could really hurt him.
When you bath him try this. After you rinse him take baking soda mixed with warm water (until it%26#039;s cloudy) make sure it is mixed good and then pour it on him and dry him.
This is a natural cure for smell and itchy skin and shoudl solve the problem
Reply:Ferrets are inherently smelly. I would not advise using a product for fabrics for it. You can was your pet as long as you want but this rodent is notorious for smelling bad. I think you must simply live with it because they are animals that naturally give off scents that are offensive to humans and their prey.
Reply:Are you out of your mind? Febreze is a chemical. It has also been blamed for the deaths of some birds, cats, and dogs. But putting that aside, why would you want to put any chemical on your ferret? And why would you risk your pet%26#039;s life by asking unqualified strangers on the internet, instead of just picking up the phone and calling your vet?! Your mental processes are scary.
Reply:no please don%26#039;t :( so not good for your fuzzie!!!!
what really keeps the smell down is cleaning the potty corner and cage clean, bathing helps but not more than once every other month, it%26#039;s not good for any ferrets skin if you bath it too much, if you have a hob (non fixed male), fixing him will greatly deduce the smell, you can also try a different brand of deodorizer from petco. :)
if you want to get more info :) FERRETS FOR DUMMIES is an absolutely great book

How do you get rid of mold in your A/C system ? I have a Ford Expedition 03'?
How do you get rid of mold in your A/C system ? I have a Ford Expedition 03%26#039; When you turn on the vents you get this old smell. I took it to the dealer they sprayed something in the outside vents, but it was a deodorizer. They claimed they did not smell anything.
How do you get rid of mold in your A/C system ? I have a Ford Expedition 03%26#039;?
Frigi-Fresh worked for me. Spray the can for 8-10 seconds into the air intake with the AC fan/blower running, and the smell will be gone. When I did it I emptied the entire can (might as well as these cans don%26#039;t store real well when partially sprayed) and midway through spraying the can just before empty I shut off the engine so the spray stayed in the system then let it sit overnight. Next day smelled good and have not had problem since. This is the only stuff that has worked for me.
Reply:Great Question! and I would give the best answer to the dude above me as I have exactly the same problem that you are having with the disgusting smell when you turn on the A/C.

Reply:Great Question! and I would give the best answer to the dude above me as I have exactly the same problem that you are having with the disgusting smell when you turn on the A/C.

How to deodorize ac coils and vents with natural products?
I had a proffesional duct cleaning company brush the ducts, fog the system, clean the coils and fan in air handler unit, and there is still odor when system is on. Is there any deodorizer or air sanitizer on natural basis?
How to deodorize ac coils and vents with natural products?
Mix a handfull of baking soda with a glass of vinegar and either pour/spray it over the coils. Let it run into the evaporator tray also and down the drain hose. Will freshen and deodorize.

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico is hoping to keep drunks off the road by lecturing them at the last place they usually stop before getting behind the wheel: the urinal.
The state recently paid $21 each for about 500 talking urinal-deodorizer cakes and has put them in men%26#039;s rooms in bars and restaurants across the state.

Actually, I think it%26#039;s hilarious....talking urinal cakes?!? LMAO!!
That would screw w/your mind if you were really drunk....
Reply:Considering the high amount of DUI%26#039;s and repeat offenders in the state of NM, I think it is a good idea.
Reply:nope its not a violation of our rights. We have to endure innumerable advertisements and media promotion all the time I dont see this invasive. They need to get the pervert machines out of bathrooms if my kid asks me what a french tickler is for I am going to go postal.
Reply:I think its a waste of money, if you are that blitzed you aren%26#039;t reading anything.
I know of no %26#039;right%26#039; to urinate in a propaganda free zone.
I know of no police state that worries about deodorants in a urinal. In fact that seems kind of sissy to me. Police states aren%26#039;t ever sissy.
Reply:It sounds like a dumb idea but it is not an invasion of anyone%26#039;s rights. The State has an interest in keeping drunks of the road.
Reply:No and no. I%26#039;m happy that someone is trying to further the cause of taking drunk drivers off the road. They have no right to drive while drunk so how are their rights being violated?
Reply:No...not violation. I think it%26#039;s pretty funny and I%26#039;m considered a liberal by most around here. I think I might question tax dollars being spent like this, though.I%26#039;m sure many people have found these talking deodorizers and have stolen them for their own entertainment. So it%26#039;s definitely a misuse of tax funds.
Reply:Just another dumb idea
Reply:Ask pregnant teenagers if they feel their rights are
violated when democrate/libs try to push abortion
on them!
Reply:Next time, they should just urinate in an empty beer bottle or pull off on the side of the road. At least if they pull over, they might pass out in the ditch and not kill someone. I guess that would take away any and all fear of the talking urinal cake.
Reply:Hey if it keeps them from driving drunk and killing themselves or someone else who cares about a talking urial cake at bars. Now if they start putting them in every public/private rest room in the country then that would be a violation.
Reply:I think its stupid
Reply:Only if i didn%26#039;t get a free drink. :)
Reply:This is a violation of a person%26#039;s personal right to pee in peace and quiet.
Reply:Now if that ain%26#039;t money well spent......I don%26#039;t know what is. Not quite the police state you were thinking, but how do they know I%26#039;m drunk? Have they been watching me? Oooohhh....now I%26#039;m paranoid.
Reply:How stupid. What won%26#039;t they think of next? Maybe we should educate them BEFORE they get drunk. Afterwards is kind of late.

Funny or not ...air freshener?
An Avon lady was along in an elevator when she suddenly had to fart. She promptly reached into her bag and sprayed the air with her deodorizer.
Two floors later a gentleman got onto the elevator. He began to sniff.
The Avon lady asked, %26quot;Do you smell something?%26quot;
%26quot;Why, yes, I do,%26quot; he replied.
%26quot;What does it smell like?%26quot;
%26quot;Hmmm, I%26#039;m not sure, but it kind of smells like someone **** in a pine tree.%26quot;

Do you have a Cat Doo-Doo problemo like I doo? Dood!?
We love our cats, dude. But the male cat, his name Stinkynutz- whenever he or the female uses the cat box, it smells absolutely profane.
What is a good solution or product to help their Doo-Doo not to stank so badly? Like, is there a magic potion out there, or a deodorizer that you can put on the turds? (Word).
Even though they smell up the flat, I am totally gonna buy Stinkynutz and our female cat a toy for Xmas. ^. . ^
Do you have a Cat Doo-Doo problemo like I doo? Dood!?
My best trick is: I keep box matches near the litter box and when it smells really bad I light a match, it takes the odor away instantly.
Baking powder cat litter really helps. Arm and Hammer.
Also, you might try scented litter.
Changing canned food helps. The cheap stuff will really make it smell bad and can cause diarrhea.
Reply:that is so funny. my kitty does the same thing and sometimes i wonder if there is something wrong with her. i think they just stink! i bought this arm and hammer deoderizer for catboxes. it even has a fresh scent to it. you will need to put a little in there every other day but at least your house will not be so funky. also i saw at the store the other day a bag of the crystals they are always talking about in the kitty litter that is supposed to help the smell. well this bag is all crystyals. good luck with that!
Reply:yep, Arm and Hammer cat little is the best. It really makes it an odor free litter box if you scoop it in a timely fashion!
Reply:Dude!!! No WAY!!! Stinky poo is just the way of the natural world, dude! Probably he is also a little indignant because he is forced to go around with a name like %26quot;stinkynutz%26quot; Probably he would feel just a little better if you spelled it right, like %26quot;stinkynuts%26quot;. Cats are typically very sensitive about using %26#039;z%26#039; when convention dictates an %26#039;s%26#039;.
You should be aware that with this indignation and irritation, your cat may be eating stuff that will make his poop stink more just to punish you for your regrettable choice of names. Don%26#039;t laugh, dude, it happens!
If I was you, I would make a change in the stinkynutz%26#039; diet. Maybe cut out the wet food (a huge stinky-poo contributing factor) and get a good quality solid dry food. Wet canned food is only good for the occasional treat for any cat.
It also cuts down on the stink you notice if you don%26#039;t get down on your hands and knees and sniff the kitty box right after the kitty goes. ;)
Reply:I agree with the Arm %26amp; Hammer litter deodorizer above; works great! Also, you might try changing their food to something like Iams or Science Diet, which have less crude fat. This can typically be digested a little more easily, and therefore produce less, and less smelly, Number Two%26#039;s. :)
Reply:KEEP THE LITTER BOX CLEANED OUT
I USE THE CLUMPING CAT LITTER
AND IT WORKS GREAT
Reply:Dude, maybe buy one of those pine tree shaped car air fresheners and tie it around Stinkynutz%26#039;s tail, so that it hangs over the butt. Sort of like a odor shield / door. I recommend the coconut scented one.
Reply:Try Feline Pine brand cat litter It%26#039;s healthyer for you and your cats and you can just scoop the solid waist and flush it down the toilet. No Poo in the box no smell.
